Beacon Fell Country Park
Within walking distance, the country park consists of 110 hectares (27 acres) of woodland, moorland and farmland. The summit 266 metres (873 ft) is accessed by woodland trails dotted with wooden sculptures and leading through a variety of habitats created by planting different species of trees.
The fells visitor centre has a cafe and offers a tramper vehicle for the mobility impaired which is available to book free of charge. Information on this can be found at www.tramper.co.uk
